carnation portrays mei’s new ep as a tribute to the force of nature, stamps her creative energy on violence and models the relief of a world as tragic and sweet as life.

four original and functional tracks or two faces that exemplify not only mei background in both sound and art but also her love and knowledge of the experimental genre! her avant-garde approach reveals tension between serene, calming, ethereal sounds and the abrupt transition into noise.

it is through the lens of her sometimes crystalline, sometimes nebulous voices that mei telescopes such saturated and twisted music as harmonious and learned, borrowing from trip-hop influence, skinned electronics, and major stage artists such as björk or gazelle twin, with whom she maintains the comparison with pride.

then, just when you think you've defined it perfectly and disastrously in this bubble, she turns around and plunges into the black cotton of a bloody punk riff, or a satanist capharnaüm death metal, flattened by the gigantic steps of a kick snare trap, or rhymes rapped falling like a meteor shower.
